Today some good friends of ours are in Labor and Delivery. Their little son has been highly awaited. He has a well appointed nursery and a dresser full of clothes. Blessed. We are all so blessed.
At night when we go to bed, we pray with each of our children. Brynn, our eight year old, prays for people in India that need clean water and the children in Uganda who need schooling and a place to live. She prays for orphans. She also prays for a good night's sleep. In her childlike faith, I see many lessons. She asks for simple things like making up with her friends with the same trust that she asks for clean water for an entire nation.
I am trying to trust more like her. Each of my children has taught me a different lesson. Kate has a heart full of compassion. She is always looking out for any one that might be left out or alone. And Brynn, lives with joy. She laughs hard and often and she dances through her life.
These are just some musings on my part.
